More like Autumn…. than Winter
The last day of January. Whilst we have ‘enjoyed’ some frosty, misty and cold days. Overall, the month has been rather kind.
Today on our woodland walk, it looked and felt more like an autumn day. In truth autumn 2022 was late and muted. But yep, today looked and felt very much more autumnal. We are told that over January our temperatures have over the month been above average, with occasional record highs. Today we have one of the highs with the thermometer reading plus 12c.
Tomorrow is a new month. The advanced forecast doesn’t sound too promising, so best not to get our hopes up. Afterall history reminds me that February can and often does bring the sting of winters tail.
Whatever the future may bring to us, in weather and life…. as always….

Does look like the seasons are a little mixed up! Hope your mild weather continues and February doesn’t bring any big surprises. Sometimes that’s when we get significant snowfalls. Time will tell. 😉
