The Church of Saint Mary, Tissington, Derbyshire
On a high hill above the ancient village of Tissington, stands the Norman Church of Saint Mary.
The picture above is from a few years back….. sadly the fine mature Oak tree on the left is no lounge…. wind, weather and age has taken it toll. Otherwise it is still a church that stands proud, an important part of this small community.

The original village name, as appearing on the Doomsday Map of 1086 is
” Tisdigers Farm and Settlement “….
2024 and Tissington, whilst still small, is a thriving Derbyshire Village, where the past mingles with today and its future collectively taken care of.

I hope you can have a restful Sunday… and if with family and friends enjoy!
