With all the exemptional warm spring weather, together with the residual moisture in the ground from a wet winter, the atmosphere has at times felt quite tropical. Damp mist lingering in the air and the glow of the low morning sun…. it was nearly like the tropical Palm house at Kew Gardens.
It has been a short-lived appetiser of what spring may be like. Over the past two weeks we have enjoyed temperatures in the high teens, even reaching 21c, not bad for March. The bad news is that the Forecaster predict that from today those temperatures will drop like a stone, with daytime temperatures that may only reach 4c or 6c at best, with overnight frosts and maybe snow on Friday (Friday is April 1st and this is no April Fool’s Joke).
Best not to complain as we can do nothing to change the weather heading our way…
But it has been a FAN -tastic end to March.
Fantastic indeed but I am going to dig out the big coat again.
If you are too hot or shivering in the cold… it is still important to…
