March has been both quite a change and also a puzzle. The last year has seen weather that has set record highs for temperatures and dryness, and when not record breaking, certainly creating stats that were above the average.
So enter March, the month where Spring arrives and our time clocks shift forward to British Summer Time…… but our weather hasn’t read the script. Some signs of Spring, more reflections of what a winters day can be like. Rains, very heavy, winds at gale force, some snow in many locations across the UK. and a thermometer that fluctuates at speed between freezing and unseasonal highs.
Just to add flavour to our weather mix, when the Sun does shine, it is bold and bright and shins a spot light on those early signs of Spring…. but mainly on a colourful winter legacy.
April is not so far away…… I wonder what the change in month with have on our weather and our perception of Spring.
Best not to ponder too long, we will get what we are given…. so as always
