After another night of torrential rain, rain that eased at dawn and left us with a damp grey day….. but much to our surprise (and against the weather predictions) the sun broke thru just before 11am giving us a brilliant autumn day…. Yep, a real surprise.
Being near the end of November, the sun was of course low in the sky, so lots of long dark shadows.
Lakeside or in the woods, just a great day for an autumn flavoured walk… so, an opportunity to add to Becky’s November #WalkingSquares challenge.
Just to emphasise that autumn is very late, there is still ots of green leaf cover on large parts of our woodlands….
I hope you enjoyed your day, whatever your weather and season….. but as always….

The first image is supposed to be but uploading does throw up anomalies at times. My original is square 4704 pixels x 4704 – reduced to 2000px posted. It has happened before

Wondered if that might have happened. So frustrating isn’t it when it does. Gorgeous image as rectangle too!

Facebook is the worst… WordPress it is rare but frustrating…. not that that image perspective looks that different

Well, your late autumn photos are spectacular and since we are winter bare over here, I’m enjoying your beautiful scenery.

At the moment it may be rather wet but still autumnal. This time last year we had snow (didn’t last)
